4-Week Winter Writing Workshop
A super fun boot camp….with proper punctuation!
This four session workshop (February 3, 10, 17, 24 from 1:00-2:30) led by learning specialist Beth Bucher will increase students’ confidence and competence when asked to write about what they read. Your child will review how to effectively plan and structure paragraphs and create a personalized writing resource binder with graphic organizers, word lists, writing glossary and examples to use throughout the school year.
The course is geared towards 4th and 5th graders who have traditionally found writing to be challenging. While students will certainly be “schooled,” this class won’t be boring!
Over the course of four weeks, students will:
- sharpen their paragraph writing skills
- boost their confidence when composing, revising and editing
- create a writing resource binder with tools to support their writing at home and school
- receive all instruction from an expert writing tutor and veteran educator whose infectious energy makes even the most reluctant student find joy in learning
