Games to Build Reading Skills: Wednesday, May 2 at 6:30
A WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS AND EDUCATORS, FREE!
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
Learning to read can be hard, so why not make it fun? Playing games is an engaging and motivating way to reinforce or review reading skills. At this workshop, participants will learn about the best games: those that don’t require a lot of set-up and can easily adapt to meet the needs of various readers. Natalie Huerta, Lucy Bayer, and Heron Haas are current and former reading teachers at Mary McDowell Friends School who regularly incorporate games into their work with elementary students with learning disabilities. At this workshop, they will be sharing reading games that you can make easily, play quickly and adapt to a variety of skill levels. Come ready to learn and play!
