Join Us on 10/25 for Multisensory Reading Instruction: What, Why, and How?

A FREE workshop for educators, parents, and friends on October 25 at 6:15 led by Natalie Huerta.

Multisensory–It’s a buzzword that you may have heard in and around schools. Educators and specialists say they are doing multisensory reading instruction and that schools should be doing it, but what is it? Why do it? How do you do it with students or your own child? Come get an introduction to multisensory reading instruction and be ready to involve all of your senses!

Natalie Huerta is the Literacy Coach at Mary McDowell Friends School, an independent school for students with language-based learning disabilities. There she supports teachers and students with Orton-Gillingham based reading programs and an expository writing program. As a classroom teacher and tutor Natalie has used and seen the impact of multisensory instruction on struggling readers for more than 10 years. She loves witnessing the moment a student realizes that learning to read is possible.
